The owner responded to our initial difficulties- broken kettle and radiator not working- very quickly. The house took a while to warm up (it was very cold weather) but was cosy after that.It would be better not to say there is a welcome pack if that is just plain biscuits and milk .We had a very comfy stay and enjoyed the local area.

Unfortunately this property is in dire need of an update. The cottage smelt very musty on arrival and seemed damp. Whilst we understand that this property is old, the standard of cleanliness was extremely poor. Apart from the bathroom, which smelt overpoweringly of bleach, the rest of the property was extremely dusty, dirty and in desperate need of a deep clean. There was also a build up of toaster crumbs underneath the toaster. The views from the property are lovely, however the windows are in desperate need of a clean. The bedding in the main bedroom was ok but the bedding in the second bedroom was in a very old, poor and worn state. The fasteners on the quilt covers no longer fastened and one of the beds comprised two mattresses, one on top of the other. The towels smelt musty and there were no tea towels provided - not everything can go in the dishwasher! The lounge suite was very comfortable and the entertainment package provided was very welcome. This could be an excellent property once upgraded to an acceptable standard.

Positives:The sofa's and bed were very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped quite well including airfryer and a slowcooker and we had everything we needed for cooking meals.Tv worked well with easy access to netflix, prime, now tv, disney etc.Jigsaws and games provided.Easy parking on site with garden and field for dogs. Negatives:The cottage was damp downstairs, mouldy in the bathroom and the whole place needed a good clean.(sadly numerous previous guests had also said this in the visitor book but it still needed attention). We needed to buy our own cleaning supplies and teatowels. (Only one provided for 2wks)Garden - no direct access to enclosed garden, you need to exit the building and walk round to the garden. Useful to know if bringing dogs. The towels need replacing as they were very small and thin.
