Nestling in this designated aonb, uninterrupted and magnificent views of the surrounding countryside abound and lovely walks can be enjoyed from the property. A 10-minute walk over the owner’s fields and woods leads to Hartland village with shops, three pubs and a lovely coffee shop. Sandy Spekes beach is just over a mile walk. A fabulous, picturesque, hidden treasure, great for rockpooling and surfing. The owners have maintained many original features - exposed internal stone walls, beams and wonderful slate floors with underfloor heating throughout. Everything has been thought of to ensure an incredible holiday to please everyone. The Old Roundhouse is a really special holiday home and a warm welcome awaits with complimentary chilled beer and wine, cream teas, fresh flowers and toiletries - all ingredients for a well earned break. The stunning World Heritage coastline abounds with family activities, from pretty beaches to hidden coves, once the haunt of smugglers. Hartland Abbey is worth a visit, as is the famous Clovelly. Each member of our family thoroughly enjoyed every moment . Their ages range from 13 to 80 ! There was something for us all . The games room and hot tub was a winner for the younger members and the barbecue and out door fire pit was very popular with the older members . The house was beautifully ‘dressed’ for Christmas and there was a really generous and wide selection of treats for us all . The downstairs bedroom and walk in shower was SO good for the disabled member of our party .Thankyou very much Andy for providing so well for us .

What a fabulous house and beautiful surroundings. 10 of us went for a Christmas break at the end of November. The owners had decorated with Christmas tree and other decorations. A lovely touch. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed .Lovely clean hot tub set in a beautiful garden.A little bit out of the way but exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Old Roundhouse with all our family (10+dog in total) to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary which is this week coming.There's plenty of room for all in the barn, comfy surroundings & a very well equipped kitchen. We all commented that a kitchen island would work well, as the area is very open. The dining room table was great to sit us all for dinner & for playing games in the evening. The games room is fab!Some of the beds could do with new mattresses.The place is very rural, the access road rough, so go slow. Lovely walking from the house & into Hartland. Do go to Hartland Quay- on a windy day the waves & surf were absolutely amazing to see. Also Clovelly-we saw porpoises fishing in the bay.The owner was very quick to reply to queries, as the water went off one morning! Very helpful-thank you!We all recommend the Old Roundhouse- super for a large family group.
