A relaxing retreat situated on a pretty golf complex (members only), this delightful Scandinavian style detached lodge is the perfect, peaceful escape and ideally placed to explore both North Devon and North Cornwall. The surfing beaches of Westward Ho! and Bude are an easy drive, and for family fun The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure Parks are close by. There are numerous National Trust properties in the area, as well as RHS Gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Hartland Abbey is well worth a visit, as is Clovelly. Cycling, riding, sailing and fishing are all available locally. Lovely country, woodland and coastal walks, and for cycling enthusiasts the nearby Tarka Trail offers 21 miles of scenic pleasure. Shop 6 miles, pub 2½ miles.
The golf and leisure park is for members' use only.
There is open water in the property grounds.

The Retreat is a lovely log cabin . Plenty big enough for six . Well equipped. Very rural location set about 1.5 miles off the A39.

wouldn't recommend the retreat for people with mobility or health conditions. No phone signal. no help in an emergancy.Roads are like tracks with farm vehicles having no concern for drivers.notice concerning snakes a bit of a worry.but my main concern was for my husband's safety. Left and came home after one night.lf you want to be solitary and never found ideal.advert needs to be more informative saying how isolated it is
