Guests say

Woodpecker Lodge offers a peaceful and relaxing retreat surrounded by beautiful woodland, perfect for those seeking tranquillity and privacy. Guests consistently praise the cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and cosy atmosphere. The hot tub and balcony with scenic views are highlights, and the abundance of visiting birds adds to the charm. While the remote location ensures a quiet stay, it does mean limited phone signal, patchy Wi-Fi, and a bumpy access road. Some found the steps and ladder-style stairs challenging, but overall, the lodge provides an excellent base for a restful getaway.

Multiple reviews mention the lodge being clean, tidy, and well looked after, with no significant complaints about cleanliness.

The woodland setting is widely praised for its beauty, privacy, and tranquillity. Some guests found the access road bumpy and the lodge hard to find, but most appreciated the peaceful, remote location.

Guests found the lodge cosy, warm, and comfortable, with a relaxing atmosphere. The main drawback mentioned was the challenging steps and ladder-style stairs, which may not suit everyone.

The lodge is well equipped, especially the kitchen and hot tub, which are frequently highlighted. Some guests experienced issues with the hot tub setup, Wi-Fi reliability, and limited parking, but overall facilities met expectations.

Guests appreciated touches such as complementary bird food, but please note that such gifts are not guaranteed. Hosts were described as friendly and helpful, though service is limited due to the remote setting.

Cosy and well equipped lodge, as long as you don't mind the steps up to it. But we knew about these before booking and we were fine with it. Plenty of privacy and quiet. The only thing we thought of was maybe a small table on the balcony for resting drinks while relaxing there.

We had a wonderful stay and couldnt have asked for a better location. The property was exactly as described peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful scenery, making it the perfect place to relax and switch off. The area itself was stunning, with plenty to explore nearby while still feeling secluded and quiet. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and very well looked after, with everything we needed for our stay. From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, always happy to answer any questions and offer recommendations for the local area. We especially appreciated how private and tranquil everything felt, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a lovely setting. We would happily return in the future.

Wow the lodge was absolutely great we stayed in woodpecker it was so peaceful no noise from traffic just the tweeting of the birds and we had a few birds visit each day especially a robin we also enjoyed having the hot tub. The only thing I would say is that the stairs to the bedroom are designed like boat steps so you need to be cautious when going up and down them and there are alot of steps leading up to the lodge. We would definitely visit bulworthy forest again. Thankyou for a great visit
