Climb the steep staircase to reach a tucked-away twin bedroom (with limited headroom) on the mezzanine level – a fun retreat for children.
The lodge boasts a generous, enclosed wraparound deck with outdoor seating, hammocks and a dining area for al fresco meals, with stunning lakeside views as your backdrop. Back across the bridge, an expanse of grass surrounds the lake and there’s an additional lakeside outdoor seating area, with a built in BBQ and a fire pit. Amble over to the shared games room which is complete with a pool table, table tennis table and darts, ideal for a family tournament. Guests are welcome to meet and join in with feeding the animals on the farm, including: Daphne and Delilah (the gentle rescue donkeys), Dave and Roy (the playful young donkeys), Joe and Ferdie (the horses), the cheerful ex-battery hens, Rufus, the retired guide dog and his sidekick pup, Daisy, plus the growing family of rescued pigs and sheep. There’s private off-road parking for two cars, making this an idyllic base for your countryside getaway.
