Tucked away in a quiet corner of the quaint market square, and situated in the small town of Hatherleigh in West Devon, delightful Church View Cottage offers superb accommodation for up to eight guests - five in the main cottage and up to three in a separate barn.

Popular Hatherleigh is an ancient market town, and known as a jewel in the heart of Devon, nestling in a deeply rural landscape which offers peace and tranquillity, where the stars can be seen at night. With its cob and thatch cottages this pretty town has a good selection of local amenities, and located at the corner of the quaint market square you will find delightful Church View Cottage, sitting next to the ancient church.

The main cottage has two bedrooms, sleeping up to five guests, and the separate barn sleeps up to three further guests, and is located across the rear courtyard and just steps away from the cottage kitchen door. As you enter the main cottage, a hallway that leads through to the sitting room, with its large inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. Comfortable seating invites you to relax on the sofa or in the armchairs in front of the fire, and to perhaps enjoy playing a board game, or watching television. A step up leads you through to the attractive dining room with its glazed door to the garden, and on to the fabulous kitchen with high ceiling, beams and barn door. The spacious kitchen has been beautifully designed and fully equipped so that delicious meals can be prepared with ease, and centre stage is a feature Falcon range cooker. Next to the kitchen you will also find a utility room and cloakroom with a washer/dryer, freezer, hand basin and WC.

On the first floor you will find the pretty master bedroom, with a 5' king size bed, chair/folding sofa bed, and plenty of wardrobe space. The second bedroom offers a comfortable 4'6 double bed with 3' single bunk bed above. A well-appointed family bathroom complete with walk-in shower completes the accommodation.

The charming separate barn offers a small kitchen with dining bench and stools and a ground floor shower room. On its first floor you will find an open-plan room which includes a central sitting area with sofa, chair and television, and either end of the space you will find the beds - a 4'6 double bed at one end, and a 2'6 single tucked away at the other.

Outside, you will find an enclosed, sheltered, and pretty courtyard style garden with feature magnolia tree, and plenty of garden furniture, ideal for everyone to sit and dine together in the sun or shade.

When staying at this special cottage, you are ideally located for enjoying the stunning countryside including Hatherleigh Moor, a 400 acre common where you can take in the breathtaking panoramic views across a patchwork of woods and farmland to the tors of nearby Dartmoor.
