About this property

Enjoying a fantastic location on the outskirts of the Dartmoor National Park, and a luxurious interior with original features, Heath Hills is a wonderful dog-friendly choice for a group or family of 10. The property benefits from six off-road parking spaces, a lovely front garden with furniture and barbecue, perfect for alfresco dining, plus an enclosed dog field where your pooches can safely run and play. On the ground floor, you will find a fully-equipped kitchen for whipping up your favourite meals, ready to enjoy at the dining table in front of the crackling double-sided woodburning stove, a handy utility area and a cloakroom, an inviting sitting room with Smart TV, sound bar and woodburning stove, perfect for relaxing movie nights, and a conservatory with Smart TV, Rokku stick and Blu-Ray player, ideal for those wanting to watch something else.

Completing the ground floor is a beautifully presented king-size bedroom. Upstairs, you will find a well-appointed bathroom and shower room for freshening up at the end of the day, along with four tastefully decorated bedrooms, a super-king-size with Freeview Smart TV, a king-size, and two twins with zip/link, one of which has its own TV. Your local amenities can be found in nearby Okehampton, where you can tour the Museum of Dartmoor Life, visit the remarkable Okehampton Castle, treat your loved ones to a well-deserved meal at Ma’ida or Brothers and or pick-up essentials from the supermarkets and convenience stores, order in from the good selection of takeaways on offer, or time your visit to attend the annual Okehampton Show in August.

For scenic hikes and bike rides, venture into the Dartmoor National Park, where you will find the attractions of the National Trust – Finch Foundry, Black-a-Tor, and Foggintor Quarry. Just a five mile drive will allow you to visit the stunning moorland scenery of Meldon Reservoir, almost 900 feet above sea level and offering a variety of footpaths and bridleways to explore. Pick up the Tarka trail at Meeth to enjoy while walking or cycling alongside the river Okement or cycle the Granite Way to experience the scenic countryside. Further afield, you’ll find Exeter, home to a stunning cathedral, Northernhay Gardens, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery, the fascinating Underground Passages, and the nearby National Trust - Clyston Mill.

The rugged north Devon coast and it's beaches can be reached within a 40 minute drive. For a luxury stay in Devon, choose Heath Hills.

Near the tallest and most spectacular parts of the moor, where Yes Tor rises to a height of more than 2000 feet, is the bustling market town of Okehampton, which sits on the outskirts of the Dartmoor National Park. Just to the north of Okehampton, in the magnificent Devon hills, you'll find quaint farming settlements tucked among woods and fields, and plenty of slow-moving rivers. The magnificent Roadford Reservoir is perfect for a variety of water sports including fishing. The Dartmoor Line presently maintains a service between Okehampton and Exeter every hour, seven days a week, and the town is home to a notable mediaeval castle overlooking a wooded river valley, the Museum of Dartmoor Life, and the Okehampton train station, which has been restored to its 1950s splendour. Simmons Park features a children's adventure playground and the town is home to some wonderful walks. Travelers looking to unwind in the midst of beautiful, natural scenery will find no shortage of farm stores and quaint country inns in this part of Devon.
