Guests say

Thorny Tallet in Devon is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful rural setting. Guests appreciate the dog-friendly enclosed garden and the property's proximity to local attractions. The cottage's well-equipped nature and attentive owners contribute to a homely and enjoyable stay, despite some minor maintenance issues and location-specific feedback.

The cottage consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with guests noting it as immaculate and extremely clean upon arrival. One mention of dampness in a bedroom does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

The location is appreciated for its peacefulness and proximity to walking areas and local attractions. However, some guests noted it as more remote than expected and mentioned difficulty with navigation and nearby potholes.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of cosy living spaces, comfortable beds, and a secure garden for dogs. A few guests noted the upstairs could be cold, suggesting room for improvement in heating.

The property is well-equipped, with a few guests suggesting additions like an outside tap for cleaning. Some maintenance issues were raised, such as the need for sharper kitchen knives and a professional clean for a smoky-smelling sofa.

While guests mention the owners' attentiveness and welcoming nature, there are no specific references to gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Everything you need is provided. Could do with a few lamps in the main room as the spot lights are many and very bright. Overall a very relaxing break. The enclosed garden was great for the dogs. The owner was helpful. Beautiful part of our country.

Amazing walks and scenery all close to the cottage. Some nice local pubs that do lovely food. Something different to do everyday all within a short drive. Will definitely use this cottage again.

Alternative directions to avoid potholes given by owner were invaluable thank you. First time we’ve had good weather which allowed us to enjoy the garden which was fantastic. Would definitely recommend especially to people with dogs! Kindest regards
