We were delighted to have stayed at Hollyhock. We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts, with Kim making a freshly baked carrot cake as part of our welcome when we arrived. The basement flat has been very well designed and fitted out to present a welcoming, comfortable, quiet and peaceful environment. The attention that Kim puts into preparing the flat for new guests is evident in the freshly prepared flower arrangements around the place, as well as the pint of milk in the fridge, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. All of this meant that from the very start of our break we felt welcomed, relaxed and hence able to get the best from our stay. The information pack gives lots of useful and up to date information which helps anyone not familiar with the area. We were also very grateful for the home charging that helped keep our costs down when driving around in our EV. In all a terrific place to stay; wonderful hosts; and will look forward to staying again in the future.

I was surprised at how much space there was with separate kitchen, front room, bathroom and bedroom. Even a writing nook. Kim and Ian were very welcoming and helpful, providing useful tips during my stay. I enjoyed the large shower head in the bathroom and all the mod cons in the kitchen. Lots of restaurants in Tavistock within walking distance too.

We only stayed a few days but we had a lovely time there. Hollyhock was perfect so comfortable and welcoming especially after a very hectic day walking. It had everything we needed and Kims' carrot cake was the best With so much to see and do we will certainly be returning for a much longer stay
