Set in a shared courtyard, this fantastic barn conversion is accessed via a long, shared drive and features a sociable open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The cheerful lounge is a perfect space to settle back, chat about the day or watch a movie, and you can share a fantastic family meal in the characterful light-filled dining area by the windows. The kitchen has a central island and a wide range of equipment, ideal for rustling up all your favourite dishes. The ground floor also has the first of three cosy, fresh and relaxing bedrooms: an inviting double, along with a stylish bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate shower. Sharing a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, two further bedrooms – a light and airy king-size room and a super-king-size room – can be found on the first floor where there are some low ceilings. The enclosed garden offers lovely country views and features a patio and lawn with outdoor furniture, and a BBQ, providing a charming spot for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
The historic market town of Shaftesbury (3 miles) provides a range of great restaurants and pubs, and bustling Gillingham (6 miles) has plenty of shops. Also nearby is the medieval town of Sherborne (14.5 miles), with other local landmarks including Stourhead House (12 miles) and the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (4 miles).
