Was pleasantly surprised at the size of the lodge. There was plenty of room and extremely comfortable for 4 adults and 2 kids. The single beds were much larger than usual caravan size (not the fish finger beds - looked more like 3ft). The double room had an en suite and dressing area which was fab. All bedrooms had TVs as well.On first glance everything looked very clean and most was. However, plates were in the cupboard with grease and food on them so took everything out and loaded most in the dishwasher and hand washed the rest. However, everything came out of the dishwasher dirtier than when it went in. Checked the filter and that was full of grease and old food so washed that too. Needed some salt and rinse aid which we hadn't taken with us so didn't bother using it again (would have taken some if we had known)! Washing machine/dryer was a blessing - used it a lot after swimming to dry all the towels and to get the ketchup/blackcurrant juice off granddaughter's clothes before they stained!Could have done with a chopping board of some sort - there was nothing so had to keep putting wrappers or something on the sides to cut food, sandwiches etc. Also could have done with an egg slice/spatula. Only had a wooden one for stirring so couldn't do fried eggs but we got by with scrambled. I'm nit-picking, and none of it spoiled our holiday, but were moan-worthy at the time, especially lack of chopping board! It certainly wouldn't stop me from going back and using that lodge again.
