The property has been tastefully designed to delicately incorporate traditional features such as a thatched roof and wooden ceiling beams into the build, whilst retaining a contemporary feel. The kitchen has extensive kitchen/cooking equipment for the amateur chef and the dining room has an extending dining table seating eight guests.
Situated in the heart of the village, the property is within a short walk of the village stores and a couple of pubs including a 16th-century thatched tavern reputed to be one of the oldest public house in Dorset.
Known as the Gateway to the Jurassic Coast, West Lulworth is situated within a scenic 10 minute stroll of the picturesque Lulworth Cove, a sheltered horse-shoe shaped natural harbour.
Historically, the cove was notorious as a popular landing point for smugglers looking to land their illicit booty. Today a fleet of fishing trawlers are based in the cove as well as pleasure boats offering scenic day voyages along the coast. Its sheltered position makes the cove particularly popular with beachgoers looking to sunbathe and swim.
Lulworth Cove is only half a mile from Durdle Door, an iconic natural limestone arch which has featured in several music videos, television productions and movies such as Nanny McPhee.
Weymouth and Portland, official Olympic 2012 sailing venues, are within a 20-mile drive.

We loved our time at Hambury House with a perfect set up for 3 couples and a young child. Very well equipped and even had a stairgate, plastic plates, bowls and utensils for a youngster which most houses don’t. The welcome pack was lovely and well received and the extra touches of hand soap in every bathroom and throws for the sitting room was nice as well. We loved the location as we were able to walk to the nearest pub in the village and also down to Lulworth Cove and from there to Durdle Door. The local Londis was also only a few minutes walk and was great as we were able to pick up any extra bits needed along with coffee and pastries for the mornings. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay there again.

We had a really chilled holiday at Hambury House. It is such a lovely property in a great location sitting amongst other thatched properties. Lulworth cove a short walk and pub and local shop in very close proximity. Walks around the village, the cove and on Hambury hill were breath taking. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Beautiful cottage not far from lots of attractionsBeds,comfortable .very spacious cottage. The cooker takes some getting used,to but once that's sorted its fine. Some of the pans need updating as bases aren't flat so won't work on the hob.The nonstick pans,aren't any more. The cottage is well equipped with your cooking needs. A lovely welcome pack of coffee and biscuits on arrival The tumble dryer was faulty but the owner is now aware so should be fixed very soon. The owner did offer to send someone out but we were in and out a lot and,managed,well without it. Cleanliness is,adequate but a bit of attention to nooks and crannies and between cushions wouldn't go amiss.The downstairs toilet is clean but stained. A bit of tlc needed there. Showers were powerful and refreshing and the towels provided were thick and fluffy. If you are a mature person it might be worth bringing a nonslip mat for the shower as I found,it a bit slippery. Overall we had a comfortable very enjoyable stay and wouldn't hesitate to come again.
