Pushing open the door, you step into an open-plan living space where everything flows with ease, a well-equipped kitchen ready for unhurried cooking, a dining table that invites long meals and conversation, and a welcoming sitting area where a wood burner promises warmth on cooler evenings and a smart TV including Netflix subscription waits for slower nights in. After a day outside, you wander into the sleek double shower room, letting the daisy shower wash the road from your shoulders, before retreating to the spacious bedroom where a super king bed encourages deep rest and late mornings.
From the open plan living room, doors open onto the enclosed rear garden, wicker furniture catching the first light as you sip your coffee beside the firepit, looking straight across to the open field beyond. A public footpath begins there, calling you out for a gentle walk straight from the farm, boots brushing through grass as the countryside stretches ahead. Follow the lanes or the footpaths and you’ll soon reach the heart of Marshwood, where the Bottle Inn offers a warm welcome and a sense of village life that feels unchanged by time. When curiosity pulls you further, the famous Jurassic Coast is only a short drive away, its ancient cliffs and sweeping beaches waiting to be explored, while nearby Bridport buzzes with independent shops, markets and creative energy. Each day ends the same way, back at the barn, where firelight flickers, the garden grows quiet, and the story of your holiday gently writes itself.

Amazing in every way. Great communication from Bren, who was absolutely brilliant when we needed a bit of help with something. The property exceeded expectations, it’s clean, bright and spacious, also so peaceful and with a lovely little enclosed garden for enjoying the beautiful views. We loved watching the sheep and at night the dark skies were great for star gazing. A superbly equipped holiday home, Bren really has thought of everything. Nearby are a great many places to visit, stunning beaches, country estates and heritage sites. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Little Oaks, and appreciated the effort made by our hosts to provide such a positive experience for guests. We will be back! Thank you Bren and Will.

Lovely little cottage, with a very nice garden to sit out in overlooking a lovely field behind which our dog enjoyed. Very friendly, helpful and thoughtful owner who provided lots of useful items for both humans and doggies!
