Guests say

The White House in West Bay is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its comfort, spaciousness, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the en-suite bedrooms, ample parking, and the property's proximity to the beach and town. The enclosed garden is a hit with both children and pets. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Most guests found the property to be clean and welcoming. However, there were isolated comments about blocked gutters and a bed that required additional cleaning. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, indicating high standards of cleanliness overall.

The location is highly praised for being close to both the beach and town, offering easy access to local amenities. The property's position is ideal for guests looking to explore the area, despite some comments about the nearby road being narrow and busy.

Guests consistently mention the property's comfort, noting the spacious communal areas, comfortable beds, and the convenience of having en-suite bathrooms. Some guests found the beds a bit hard and the double beds small, but overall, the property is considered very comfortable.

The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests are generally satisfied with the facilities. However, there are several mentions of minor maintenance issues such as the television picture quality, central heating, and noisy toilet systems, which suggest room for improvement.

While guests have mentioned a welcome pack with local treats, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gestures or other thoughtful touches throughout all stays. Therefore, while appreciated, these gifts are not guaranteed and the score is set to null.

Welcome pack was nice touch & much appreciated, parking was fine. A bbq would be nice but perhaps not do -able. Overall very happy with our booking. I found sykes agency hard to contact :(

My only criticism was the lack of parking. Evenso I would still book again.

Each bedroom having an en suite was a perfect touch and the kitchen was very well equipped. We made lots of large meals for a group of 9 adults each day and we were never short of anything in the kitchen. The welcome bag with goodies was a lovely touch and we appreciated the milk being left too! Though we did bring our own so that's the only reason we didn't use much. It was unseasonably warm the weekend we stayed and there were only 2 fans in the house so the only feedback some people in the group said was that possibly a fan available in each room for night time as it was very warm and difficult to sleep at times due to the temperature in the rooms, especially on the top floor. However with this said, the beds themselves and notably the pillows were extremely comfortable (never had such comfortable pillows) so the bedrooms were very well received. The garden and communal rooms were all lovely and we loved our weekend stay.
