West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway To The Dorset Jurassic Coast” and popularised by the TV series Broadchurch, lies close to the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coastal Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, golf, fossil hunting, boating. Visits the homes on Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence, The Tank Museum at Bovington or the Naval Air Museum at Yeovil. Only 1.5 miles away is the vibrant market town of Bridport, featured in the TV series, River Cottage. The area holds plenty of attractions to suit the whole family! Just a short drive takes you to the picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis, the lovely sub-tropical gardens and swannery at Abbotsbury, or the golden sands of Weymouth. The welcome pack on our arrival was so nice and there was even a bottle of milk in the fridge.The appartment was very well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The information about access to the appartment from Sykes Holiday cottages was very helpful and we would love to stay at Venezuela Appartments again.

Everything there we could ever need. Thank you for the goody bag on arrival which was gratefully received. We were lucky with the weather and were able to use the balcony even at the end of October. We also had the best seat in the house when there were fireworks over the water. Thankfully the lift was working again which helped with the luggage. We would recommend the apartment to.others. The only suggestions we would make to improve the experience are minor. The main light in the double room could have done with a brighter bulb and the windows could have been cleaner to make the most of the views but I appreciate this can be difficult near the sea. It might be worth editing your listing to update the lift situation as it might put off people choosing a fantastic apartment if they are unable to manage 2 flights of stairs.
