Guests say

Sea Views is a well-regarded cottage in West Bexington, Dorset, praised for its proximity to the beach and its suitability for dog owners. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and the enclosed garden. While some guests have suggested improvements and reported issues with maintenance and cleanliness, the location and the overall experience have been positively received.

Cleanliness scores are mixed, with several guests finding the property clean and tidy, while others noted it could benefit from a deeper clean and reported issues such as dust and a lack of thorough cleaning prior to arrival.

The location is highly praised for its closeness to the beach, with many guests enjoying the sea views and the sound of the waves. The proximity to local amenities and attractions also contributes to the high score.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, mentioning good bedding and seating. However, some guests noted that certain aspects, such as the bed and the hob, could be improved for enhanced comfort.

The facilities are adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and garden space. However, guests have suggested updates to kitchen equipment, garden furniture, and have reported maintenance issues like a non-functioning hob extractor and a mouldy washing machine.

While previous guests have mentioned welcome packs, there is inconsistency in their provision, with some guests not receiving them. As such, while these gestures are appreciated when provided, they are not guaranteed.

A well kept property in a quiet road offering all you need for a self catered holiday and with friendly neighbours too! Clean and bright a real home from home and we’re looking to book again! The double bed could benefit from a new mattress as quite uncomfortable and the bushes in the back garden need cutting back and on one side, the garden bench is being devoured by the honeysuckle which we had to wrestle with to set free. A great dog friendly property I thoroughly recommend and appreciated the info pack provided.

A 3 bedroom mid terrace house. Very spacious living room, fair sized dining area. 2 double and 1 small bedroom. We only used 1 bedroom which was very comfortable. The house was nice and cool inside during the very hot spells. Kitchen was pretty well stocked and anyone could cook any meal without any problems. A good shower and plenty of hot water. We never used the TV so can't comment, wi fi good indoors . If anyone is on O2 there is no mobile connection, despite their map saying there is. 4g in West bexington is non existent. Gripes, no oven gloves, no grater, only 2 dishwasher tablets and no spare toilet roll. As a gardener I found the very basic garden care frustrating! Would we go back? Definitely consider it, very good base, friendly neighbours and a choice of 2 good places to eat. Lots to explore, especially if you are a walker. The beach is large shingle and mainly used by beach fishers, swimming only advised if you are competent and strong.

Comfortable seating and bedding, most things you should need in the ample sized kitchen/diner although the hob extractor is quite useless at extracting!! Replacing the missing door between the kitchen and lounge would be a good idea to stop cooking smells and toddlers going where they shouldn't. Garden was ok. The second parking space is only any good if you have a small car, something you're only told AFTER booking. A short walk to the beach. Overall a nice cottage, would we book again? probably. A word of warning, you're asked to clean the whole place before leaving to help the cleaners, strange!!! Not sure if this is a Sykes thing or the owners.
