A first floor self-contained eaves apartment, above the owner's property, in the small village of Over Compton, just 3 miles from both Yeovil and Sherborne on the border of Dorset and Somerset. It benefits from two bedrooms, including a double with en-suite facilities as well as a decked balcony offering lovely views across the nearby paddocks, a super place to sit and relax after your busy day out. There are lovely walks in the countryside surrounding the holiday apartment, whilst the nearby historic town of Sherborne is a great place to explore with its castle, ancient abbey and numerous fascinating local shops, plus a wide choice of inns and restaurants.
Just a short drive from your Dorset apartment are Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum and Montecute House which are all well worth a visit. Shaftesbury, Salisbury and the Dorset coast are also easily accessible making this super Sherborne holiday apartment a wonderful place to stay at any time of year.

Plenty of storage space with 2 walk-in wardrobes and several towel rails provided. Apart from washing up liquid there was no soap provided - just a warning for future guests to take their own! Stairs are quite steep but good handrails. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our recent visit left much to be desired, but there were some positives. There is plenty of instant hot water and the bed was comfortable, so it was somewhere to sleep. On the downside, the property is tired and lacking some basic cleanliness. There were plenty of cobwebs showing a lack of dusting. I know it's the countryside but we live in a country village and don't have cobwebs everywhere. Although the bed was comfortable, I wish we hadn't removed the duvet cover and pillowcases before we left, the staining on the protectors wasn't pleasant. The biggest issue however was the smell of stale cigarette smoke rising up the stairs. When I mentioned it to Suellen, she said she didn't know why as they don't smoke downstairs, but it was horrible. Finally, the dogs downstairs are noisy and set off other dogs in neighbouring houses during the night, so not very peaceful.
