Hot tub (private). 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (smallholding). Bike store. Electric vehicle charging point. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Welcome to Barnyard, a wonderful barn conversion finished in 2023 to an exceptionally high standard both inside and out! It offers a fully enclosed/secure garden area, with a large patio that has a fabulous seating area and is the perfect place to relax at any time of day. There is a private hot tub with screening around where you can stare at the stars or listen to bird song. Barnyard enjoys a southerly aspect making the most of the summer evenings and romantic sunsets.

Inside, Barnyard is perfect for families of all ages, with level access throughout. The property has been designed with the visually impaired in mind. The stunning open-plan lounge, kitchen, and diner has a gorgeous vaulted ceiling with oak beams and original statement lighting fixtures. The lounge has a large Smart TV, comfy sofas and large French doors and windows overlooking and with access to the patio and hot tub while the dining area has a table and chairs and leads to the extremely well-equipped kitchen, with its quartz worktops, range cooker and breakfast bar, it will be a delight to prepare a meal at any time of day! Off the entrance hall, you will find a large utility area and a separate toilet, along with a wine store/pantry. Down the hallway you will find the office/games room, main bathroom and bedrooms. The office comes well-equipped with desks, ethernet ports and screens for those of you who need to occasionally bring work with you. You will also find a games console for kids of all ages to enjoy. The spacious master bedroom has a super kingsize bed, French doors to the garden and a large en-suite with a level walk-in shower. Bedroom two has twin beds which can zip together to be a super kingsize bed and a handy shower, allowing everyone to be able to get ready at the same time! Bedroom three has a double bed, and the family bathroom has a bath with a shower over. While Barnyard is completely private, located nearby to the owner, it is set on the their smallholding where they have horses, sheep, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs. Whenever you are outside of the garden please keep your four-legged family on a lead.

If you can tear yourself away from Barnyard, there is a plethora of things to do in the local area. The market town of Sherborne is close by with its mix of shops, cafés and restaurants as well as its castle (built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594) to explore. Dorchester is a short drive away as is the purpose-built village of Poundbury, commissioned by King Charles, also numerous coast towns and beaches.

    Excellent accommodation, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Great communication from Heleena and Chris who were great hosts, helpful and freindly but not intrusive. We loved the hot tub that was well maintained by Chris and also great to have radiators in the bathrooms that were set to still came on periodically thoughout the day so that we could get our towels dried. Thank you too for the additional towels for the hot tub. The secure area in front of the accommodation also allowed us to let our dog out, confident he was in a safe space, a great bonus.The setting is so peaceful and quiet. There is a Spar shop 4 minutes up the road in Yetminster for essentials. We had Sunday lunch at the local Chetnole Inn which was lovely. Sherborne is 18 minutes away with a nice range of shops including high street names and independents and the lovely Sherborne Abbey. We went Alpaca walking in Frampton barely 20 minutes away which was great fun. Also a day out at Lyme Regis, about an hour away. Barnyard is located to reach so many attractions within an hour. Thanks to Heleena and Chris for the goodies you left too, much appreciated.

    Barnyard is a beautifully converted luxury barn, very stylish and has everything you could need. It is extremely spacious, the information provided is good and we loved the hot tub in the evening where we enjoyed an amazing sunset. Seeing the animals was also a treat, our youngest loved the horses.A few small recommendations but it would not put us off returning. Some different pillows, new hooks in the bathrooms for towels, and a robe would be amazing for back and fore the hot tub.
