We have stayed here before, and like the location. We found a few issues with the general maintenance, which we reported. However, none of these affected our stay in general, so we suggested they be attended to at the next maintenance visit. There were also some areas where the hoovering seemed to have been missed. The general request is that departing guests leave it clean, but it should be checked. That said, it was nothing drastic, but it does affect the overall review. It would not prevent us from staying in the future. I would also like to highlight the supply of basic essentials such as toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets and bin bags. Our original booking was for 5 people. Due to circumstances, only two of us were able to go. There were no spare toilet rolls, 2 dishwasher tablets & one black bin bag. As there are no recycling facilities, this quickly fills up. Had we all gone for the week, we would have had to purchase additional quantities of the above. Please, dear reader, do not be put off by my observations, this is a nice property. But, attention to detail is all important.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and big. There are a few small things that let the house down but are easily fixed. The master bedroom needed better blinds or curtains as it was daylight even with the flimsy metal blinds closed. So we were awake at 5am. The sofas were lovely and new, but rock hard and very uncomfortable. Luckily we were out a lot, so didn't use them much. The kitchen needed a few smaller saucepans. The hob is small, so when cooking breakfast or a meal for a family just two large saucepans and a huge frying pan was too much to fit on the hob, so was dangerous. There were no smaller saucepans. It would also be very helpful to supply a small hose in the garden. We took our 2 dogs, and had lovely weather, but with the fake grass in the back garden, it needed washing down to stop it smelling. We had to fill lots of buckets, which isn't a big deal, but would have been so much easier with a little hose.

Having used your company several times with a comfortable experience, this has surprised us! As an overview, but not limited too, the reasons are as follows: Hand towel on the main bed had what only can be described as an excrement stain on it, photo attached. Drawers in kitchen had bits of food & stains in, photo attached. Plastic kitchen table cloth completely sticky to touch, and God forbid you lean on it, the cloth comes up with your elbow or arm! Kitchen work surfaces sticky and beneath the wooden chopping boards on them, there was crumbs and bits of food. The carpets had stains on them and the kitchen floor was not clean or even cleaned. Moreover, the information folder asks for us to clean the âCottageâ upon departure with advice where the cleaning materials and hoover are? Unbelievable! The property is listed as dog friendly but there is a sign at the bottom of the stairs saying do not allow dogs upstairs? The Lounge is like an echo chamber due to no soft furnishings! We are not blaming the owners in particular, as you as the holiday rental management company are, as far as I know, charging the owners for the cleaning of the property, along with agreeing the acceptability of the property for use as advertised. Furthermore, the pictures on your website are misleading, as the photos are taken in a camera mode that makes both the garden and the internal property look bigger than it is, similar to Estate Agents methodology. Being so upset and frustrated, we cut our holiday short by leaving two and a half days early. We are not normally the type of people who complain or leave negative feedback, but on this occasion, we had no choice. We await your response.
