Rupert Cottage in Weymouth is praised for its excellent location, cleanliness, and secure parking. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the property's proximity to the harbour and local attractions. Comfort levels are generally high, though some guests suggest improvements to seating and window blinds. The cottage's thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack, contribute to its homely feel.
Most guests find Rupert Cottage to be exceptionally clean, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness upon arrival. However, a few guests mention the need for a deeper clean and mention of odours from furniture, slightly lowering the score.
The location is highly praised for being close to the harbour, restaurants, and shops, with the added benefit of secure parking. It's considered ideal for exploring Weymouth, contributing to a high score.
Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere and good-sized beds. Some discomfort is noted due to seating and the lack of blinds on skylights, which affects the score.
The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen amenities, Wi-Fi, and parking. Criticisms include issues with doors not closing properly due to new carpets and some guests experiencing early morning light due to missing blinds, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.
While guests mention welcome packs and the provision of items like a hairdryer, there is insufficient information to determine if these are consistent or guaranteed offerings, leading to a null score in this category.

This thriving area called Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated right at the very heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. Now a popular destination with many restaurant’s café and bars making it a vibrant location where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked in the harbourside streets here you will find original Tudor harbour buildings estimated to have built 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible facts and artefacts, there is more to this seaside town than meets the eye. The harbour is home to the lifting bridge where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge into the town with it’s winding streets of boutique shops and onto the seafront Esplanade and beach. Brewers Quay is a much loved location in Weymouth.

Our stay was sadly really affected by multiple building works going on around the house. The house next door is being renovated which started around 8am each day with drilling and sawing, then there are 2 building sites on two sides of the property (the old brewers quay and the other I think was a car park) which also had banging drilling and shouting going on from even earlier. The property would really benefit from double glazing. Also taxi drivers sit on the benches across the road shouting from 6am when cruise ships are arriving to pick up passengers which also woke us up multiple times.

The windows were filthy and had not been cleaned for a long time - perhaps due to being in the midst of a building site. The en suite bathroom had a damp odour and would benefit from some fresh air circulating. We did not use it. The allocated parking space had been taken by someone else when we arrived. The rubbish stored in the parking space, old tyres, planks of wood with nails protruding and general debris was tidied up during the week, but had not been completely removed. The view from the window into the courtyard at the front was of dustbins and building works.
