About this property

The charming, home away from home, Harbour View Cottage, is situated overlooking Weymouth Harbour, Dorset. Harbour View Cottage welcomes four visitors and provides the perfect base for a family or group getaway, enjoying amazing sea views and is conveniently located close to a hub of attractions, services, and the beach. Once inside, be welcomed by the chic sitting room, which has plush sofas for lounging upon after a day of exploration. Enter the kitchen/dining area, the centre of the house, where you can create delectable dishes, dine together, and organise your impending plans. If you’d prefer to bask in your surroundings, enjoy an outdoor meal while soaking up the Dorset sunshine.

As the night unfolds, ascend to the first floor where you'll discover two well-appointed king size bedrooms, one of which has a charming Juliet balcony overlooking the garden. Wake up to a revitalising shower or a luxurious soak in the roll-top bath, before travelling on foot for the quay to stock up on necessities, eat out, and take in the beautiful scenery. There are plenty of family-friendly activities available in Weymouth, including tours of the Tudor House Museum, ascents to the Nothe Fort for elevated views, strolls along the beach, tours of the Weymouth Museum, trips to Castle Cove Beach, and day trips along the Jurassic Coast.

Before travelling along the West Dorset Heritage Coast to the well-liked Chesil Beach shoreline, stop at the Isle of Portland, where Portland Castle and the Portland Alpacas are located. Continue across the Dorset AONB to Dorchester to finish your trip, where you'll discover more amenities, the National Trust's charming Max Gate residence, the Dorset Museum, and the Xtreme Falconry at Dorset Falconry Park, before heading back home for the sun to set. Experience the best of Dorset at Harbour View Cottage.

The historic Victorian brewery known as Brewers Quay is located in Weymouth, Dorset, right in the middle of the harbour. The majority of the grade II listed complex and neighbouring brewery buildings were constructed between the late 1800s and early 1900s, and many of them feature stones inlaid with the year of construction. With so many restaurants, cafés, and bars in this region, it has become a well-liked tourist destination where you can unwind with a drink and observe daily life. Original Tudor harbour structures, said to have been constructed in 1600, are tucked away down the harbourside lanes and are well worth a visit because they have a fascinating history to impart.
