The house was clean, cosy and welcoming. There was plenty space, considering there was only two of us. There was the tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and coke provided, which was great after our drive from Cornwall! There were plenty of good walks around and lovely forests to appreciate. Cinderford and Ruspidge, we felt we're a little tired, but there was good food shops in Cinderford. All in all the accommodation was ideal for us and it was a delight sitting at the back looking out over forests.

Mountjoy is well appointed in the Forest of Dean. Suitable for a quiet restful holiday or visiting the many attractions offered in the Forest. The property is clean and very well equipped and well presented with modern stylish decoration. The bedrooms were comfortable and suitable for our needs. Adequate parking for two cars. Communication with the landlord was pleasant and very helpful ( he responded immediately to a small issue we had). We sat out on the balcony in the morning, overlooking a large garden, as the sun struck the vista of trees ( lovely). We would definitely stay there again and have no problem in recommending this property.My 10 year old grandson said it was one of the best holidays he's had. He loved the Dean Forest Railway, Heritage Centre, Lydney Harbour and Taurus Crafts and Crazy Golf. He also won consistently at Jenga!

Fantastic holiday home, perfect location for us as only 8minutes to beechenhurst and there is so much on offer there. Also within a good reach of other places to go shops pubs etc. there was a lockable shed in the garden for our bikes which was super useful. My only drawback would be the garden could be more child friendly. However we had a fab holiday thankyou
