Guests say

Cider Press Cottage is highly praised for its excellent location, particularly for its direct access to the forest and proximity to local attractions. Guests appreciate the well-equipped cottage, highlighting its suitability for disabled visitors and pet-friendliness. The enclosed garden is a hit with both pets and children, despite needing some maintenance. The hosts are commended for their helpfulness, and the property is noted for its cleanliness and comfort, although some guests found the sofa a bit dated.

The cottage is consistently described as extremely clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating a high standard of hygiene and upkeep.

The location is frequently mentioned as excellent, with direct access to woodland and proximity to attractions like Tintern Abbey, making it ideal for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility.

Overall, the cottage is considered comfortable and well-equipped. However, there is a minor note about the sofa being somewhat uncomfortable and old-fashioned, which slightly affects the score.

Facilities are highly regarded, especially for disabled guests and pet owners. The property is well-equipped, though some comments about well-used towels and the need for garden maintenance suggest room for improvement.

While the reviews reflect a high level of consideration for guests' needs, there is no mention of gifts, and therefore it is not possible to score this category. It should be noted that while the property provides thoughtful touches, any gifts should not be expected.

Really enjoyed our stay at Cider Press cottage .Lovely enclosed garden for the dogs and our Granddaughter but some parts do need a good weed but could be down to the warm weather .The cottage is fully equipped with everything you would need for your stay .Supply towels but they are very well used and faded as were the bath mats .Did find the sofa a bit uncomfortable and old fashioned but that’s probably down to personal choice .Loads of places to visit in the area .Would definitely visit again the negatives will definitely not put us off

A excellent stay, 5 stars is not enough, the cottage is perfect the attention to detail is amazing,my mom who has limited mobility got around with ease, nothing was too much trouble, the peaceful surroundings was wonderful. The walks in the surrounding forest was a delight. Our husky soon made herself at home. Everything was there on arrival the hosts were very friendly and gave us many ideas for days out. Tintern abbey was wonderful and would highly recommend. If you are looking for a 5 star peaceful holiday then this is for you. Thank you once again to our hosts
