We loved Lilac Cotttage, it was bigger than it seemed in the photos and the bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in! The kitchen was well stocked as was the DVD and X Box games selection. The outdoor area was perfect too. It was perfectly located for visiting the Forest of Dean and set in an area with beautiful views. The visitor information was incredible too. One thing to note, not a negative but to advise other guests, if staying for a long time take plenty of clothes, or check out laundrettes int eh area, as there is no washing machine. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in the area. Truly lovely!

We stayed at Lilac Cottage for 3 nights as a base to explore the area We have 2 golden retrievers and made use of the private enclosed paddock available . The cottage was clean , comfortable and well equipped . Gloucester , Tewksbury and Monmouth were lovely as well as our walks in the beautiful Forest of Dean . The lanes are narrow to the cottage and as we arrived in the dark had a bit of fun finding it . Better to read the instructions carefully Tried to phone the number given but no luck getting through

We had a great time at Lilac Lodge. Only downside was the very slow Internet.
