We have had a lovely break away for my 40th birthday. The house is very spacious and there is lots to do in the area that appealed to the whole family group aging from 11 to 85! The games room was a massive plus as well as the hot tub, it kept everyone entertained and the house is very well equipped with everything you could need. There are some areas which need some tlc such as some of the kitchen drawers which could do with a good sort out and clean out and also outside with some areas of the garden needing attention. It would have been nice to have had use of the bbq but unfortunately this wasn’t cleared out from the last use. It didn’t however affect our stay as the weather wasn’t on our side.We had a fabulous time at Robinswood House and the small areas for improvement wouldn’t stop us from returning again.

The house is lovely and big, with plenty of space for a big group and a games room at the back of the garden. It comes with utensils, plates etc and some basic cleaning stuff such as washing up liquid.Unfortunately the cleanliness of the house was a big let down. Upon entering the house it was clear it hadn’t had a proper clean in a while. The cupboards are really dirty. There was rubbish behind some bed side cabinets. All the drawers in the bedrooms were grubby and even the towels didn’t feel properly cleaned. It also looked like unwashed towels were kept under the stairs. We also put down 13 people were staying so obviously the sofa bed would need to be used. No bedding was left for this or a towel so we had to use the blankets and spare pillows from other bedrooms to make up the bed. There was also no bathroom mat for the en-suite and it just felt no one checked properly when they placed things down for the next stay. Also, things in the house were falling apart and it just needs a bit of a general check up. For example, the shower head holder upstairs just came off the wall while no one was touching it and it looked broken when we arrived. The house could just do with a general check to see what may need refitting so nothing breaks from wear and tear while people are in the house. The last thing was that on the first night a pigeon flew into the roof and died on the spot. The government website said to contact management on private land which we did. I was told someone would come to collect the dead bird but this never happened, so we had to stay in the house with a dead bird in the garden which was quite unpleasant. The house has a lot of potential and I do understand someone might not want to invest loads in a short term rental but it feels very run down and a bit unclean which means I don’t think we would return as it is. But if you just need somewhere to sleep while you explore the Cotswolds and aren’t too bothered about the condition of the property then it is an alright stay.

Booked the house for the extended family getaway break, all ages. Beautiful home just as the photos, very clean and fully equipped.Kitchen extremely large. Bathroom upstairs even has a tv!Games room was an absolute bonus for the kids (and adults), host was amazing as the darts were damaged, we contacted them and two new sets came via Amazon next day! Hot tub was fab, perfect temperature.Huge garden, pet friendly and safe for them to run round, garden just could do with a little TLC with the woodwork but that's being picky.Great location, small shop, chippy and chinese just up the road, shame the local pubs kitchen at the Three Oaks was closed!Easily accessible to lots of retail parks and supermarkets. We visited easily, Cheltenham and the Cotwolds. We would highly recommend and hopefully use again ourselves in the future. Thank you Felix for all you help.
