We all had problems finding The Lodge, which is tucked behind another building, and having three very active toddlers with us, felt that some sort of accessible gate to prevent access to the road would have given us peace of mind. However, the house was very clean and well appointed and we all managed to have a very pleasant weekend as an extended family. We had booked for two dogs as well, but were very glad that we didn’t take them in the end, as the space was limited for socialising and we would have fallen over the dogs. However, there were a couple of outdoor areas with seating, which we were able to use once.
