Guests say

Driftcombe Farmhouse is a charming, rustic cottage set in a magical, secluded valley, perfect for those seeking peace, nature, and countryside walks. Guests consistently praise the tranquil setting, abundant wildlife, and cosy atmosphere, especially the open fire. While the farmhouse is homely and well-equipped, some mention its slightly shabby character and the challenging access road. The property is ideal for families and groups wanting a relaxed, authentic rural escape.

Reviews describe the cottage as cosy, homely, and comfortable, with no negative comments about cleanliness. The slightly 'tatty' or 'shabby' character is mentioned positively as part of its charm, rather than as a cleanliness issue.

The location is universally praised for its tranquillity, beautiful countryside, wildlife, and excellent walks. The only drawback noted is the steep, narrow access road, but guests agree the setting is well worth it.

Guests highlight the farmhouse's comfort, especially the open fire and cosy atmosphere. The property is described as a 'home from home', though some mention the rustic and slightly shabby décor, which adds to its appeal for most visitors.

The cottage is considered well-equipped, especially for family gatherings. However, some guests note the single bathroom, small fridge, and occasional hot water issues as minor drawbacks.

There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

A wonderful house in an enchanting location. The road there, which is admittedly a bit nerve-wracking, is totally worth it!

Driftcombe Farmhouse had everything we hoped for: beautiful secluded location, wildlife sightings, footpaths on our doorstep and, of course, all amenities, including an open fireplace. The cottage was truly enchanting!
