The New Bakehouse is an impressive property located in the village of Randwick, boasting stylish interiors and a picturesque garden, it is an ideal base for relaxing with friends and family for a well-deserved break in the stunning countryside.

A gravel driveway with space for three cars greets you on arrival, as you walk down the stone steps and up to the front door of the property which opens into a smart and bright entrance hall where you can store your coats and shoes underneath the staircase before moving through the property into the convenient cloakroom for a quick wash of your hands and into the stunning open-plan kitchen/diner that is flooded with natural light from the sky lights and is finished to an exceptional standard. Make use of all the facilities on offer and prepare your meals together on the feature centre island and cook up a heart-warming meal with help from the electric oven and gather with your loved ones round the lovely wooden table with bench chairs to toast to an exciting holiday that lies ahead. Adjacent to the kitchen/diner you will find a convenient utility room containing a washing machine and tumble dryer so you can leave with a bag full of clean clothes!

A continuation of the kitchen/diner is the beautiful sitting room that has been stylishly decorated with contemporary furnishings, and is a light and airy space thanks to the large bi-fold doors and sky lights; the perfect room to sink into the sofa and watch a film on the Smart TV, with the warmth from the state-of-the-art woodburning stove keeping you toasty on a cold evening.

Catch the last of the afternoon sun out in the generous garden and marvel at the stunning lawn and patio area as you gather round the outdoor table and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Be sure to make use of the charcoal barbecue during your stay!

When night falls, you and your guests have a choice of three wonderful bedrooms; the master, located on the ground floor has bi-fold doors giving access to the garden and has a king-size bed, it shares the floor with the smart bathroom where you can indulge in a relaxing bubbly bath before bed in the oval bath.

Upstairs, the second bedroom enjoys far-reaching rural views and contains a king-size bed, with an open-concept en-suite walk-in shower room, with fresh and bright décor, the third bedroom another elegant room, contains twin beds and an open-concept en-suite walk-in shower room.

Randwick is situated on a hillside in the stunning “Five Valleys” region, there are many rewarding walks and cycle routes on its doorstep including the famed Cotswold Way, a long-distance walking trail which passes through National Trust owned Standish Wood and continues on to Haresfield Beacon, offering spectacular views from the top, so treat yourself afterwards with a drink at either the Carpenters Arms or the Vine Tree Inn.

Head over to Nailsworth, a town and civil parish, home to the ‘W Hill Climb’ which is a twisting cycle route that peaks at 15%, where on a clear day at the top, one is rewarded with beautiful views across Gloucestershire and The Old Lodge next to golf course is worth a stop for good food and drink to finish off.

Nearby Stroud is a lovely market town hosting Shambles market, an open and closed air market offering an array of options every Friday and Saturday. Once you’ve relished in the wonderful market, take a walk around Stroud where you will find information boards that have been set up around Stroud’s historic centre, labelling buildings and recording some fascinating events that took place on the streets, and finish off with a warming coffee at Woodruffs Organic Café.

Bristol is just over 30 miles in the car which offers quirky, colourful views along the River Avon, here you can visit Park Street where you’ll come across a number of quirky stores, plenty of places for coffee, food and drinks, and a park halfway along, Brandon Hill. Do not miss the chance to snap a picture of one of Banksy’s famous murals, Well Hung Lover, at the bottom of the street.

A truly outstanding home, which will leave you wanting to book again as soon as you leave.

The town of Stroud is known as the less commercial corner of the Cotswolds, a somewhat bohemian collection of buildings, squares and lanes, tucked into the green hills which once housed countless sheep during the town’s time as the centre of the Cotswold’s woollen industry. Today, Stroud welcomes visitors to its friendly cafes, quaint bookshops, independent shops and tempting eateries. Described by Jasper Conran as the ‘Covent Garden of the Cotswolds’, Stroud has a regular farmers' market, year-round programmes of music and theatre, a thriving arts scene and a state-of-the-art cinema. For simply relaxing, Stratford Park on the edge of town offers lakeside walks, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a museum. Head out of town to explore the five sweeping valleys which surround it, with country lanes just made for walking or cycling.
