Guests say

Avalon Cottage in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, is highly praised for its cleanliness, luxurious comfort, and extensive facilities including a hot tub, cinema room, and games room. Guests enjoyed the spacious garden and thoughtful touches such as welcome drinks. While some noted the need for maintenance and more attention to detail, the overall experience was delightful, making it a popular choice for family gatherings and celebrations.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found Avalon to be very clean, with only a few mentioning areas that could benefit from additional cleaning or attention. The hot tub was noted to be well-maintained, contributing positively to the cleanliness score.

The location received mixed reviews. While some guests were surprised by the residential setting, others appreciated the proximity to local amenities and the countryside. The occasional mention of an unpleasant odour from nearby fields slightly affected the score.

Comfort was generally rated highly, with guests finding the property spacious and the beds comfortable. However, some guests noted that certain rooms and outdoor furniture could be improved, which slightly impacted the comfort score.

Facilities like the hot tub, cinema room, and games room were highlights, but some guests reported issues with maintenance and a lack of instructions for using the equipment. The need for additional showers and better upkeep of the garden were also mentioned.

Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches such as welcome drinks and well-stocked amenities. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed and some guests suggested that a welcome hamper or additional basics would have been appreciated, the score reflects the variability in experiences.

Amazing garden, games room and Hot tub. Beds are comfortable. Very well maintained to a very high standard. We was all meant to be going out in the Friday evening for food but after we arrived we opted to stay in as was such a beautiful place. The photos on the website surly didn't do it justice. Very happy ladies and a wonderful weekend

The property was perfect for our needs but is listed as having 4 bathroom - in fact one en-suite, one family bathroom ( where shower js over bath ) and 2 loo / sinks . As we all preferred walk in shower the only one was in en suite so got a lot of use . The hot tub was great and it was pleasing to see some one come in to check the ‘levels’ . The cinema room was to be used to watch England football in euros but after half hour trying to work - 4 different remotes - and making contact with owner on text we gave in and went to watch on small lounge tv . The owner was at work and unable to spend a lot of time assisting but all of this could have been avoided if instructions provided Another easy fix would be to label the numerous keys so easy to work out which one for different Outbuilding Having said all that we did enjoy and very nice part of the country so some where to consider returning to
