The ground floor boasts an open-plan layout, seamlessly combining the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials, making meal preparation a breeze, whether you’re whipping up a quick breakfast or a gourmet dinner. The spacious dining area comfortably seats everyone, creating the ideal space for family meals or evening gatherings.
After a day of exploring, unwind in the one of two cosy bedrooms. The master bedroom features a comfortable double bed, while the second bedroom offers twin beds, making it perfect for children or friends. Both rooms offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside, ensuring a peaceful start and end to your day. Also on the first floor is a deluxe shower room, where you can refresh and relax while enjoying more of those lovely rural views.
Bramley Lodge understands the needs of families traveling with young children. Upon request your hosts can provide a travel cot, highchair, and stair gate, ensuring a safe and comfortable stay for even the smallest guests. They also extend a warm welcome to your four-legged family members! Providing a doggy welcome pack that includes a tasty treat, dog bed, and towels for those inevitable muddy paws after countryside walks, so your pup will feel right at home.
Beyond your lovely abode, a range of activities awaits all interests and ages. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the Cotswold Way, a trail offering stunning views, charming villages, and local wildlife. Golf at scenic courses like Cotswold Edge or Westonbirt or relax with a day of fishing at Burrows Lake Fishery. Equestrian lovers can visit the Badminton Horse Trials or events at Chepstow and Cheltenham. Explore nearby Bath’s Roman Baths and Georgian architecture, or Bristol’s vibrant arts scene and historic sites. Local pubs and restaurants offer delightful dining. For larger groups, additional accommodation is available within the grounds of Bramley Lodge. Sister properties, Blackberry Barn (UKC918) and Bramble Barn (UKC919), can be booked for up to 12 guests.

Here is a list of items we provide to assist you with your packing: all bed linen (excluding cot), bath towels, hand towels and flannels, 2 toilet rolls, 1 kitchen roll, hand soap, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, 2 washing powder tabs, 2 tea towels, 1 kitchen hand towel, 1 oven gloves, 1 J cloth, 1 scourer, salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a pint of milk and tea tray on arrival. We also have a hair dryer, iron, small travel ironing board and a clothes airer.You are welcome to make use of three of our fields during your stay provided there is not any livestock. Two fields are directly in front of and to the side of the lodge, and the other can be accessed via the gateway directly opposite Bramble Barn.You might also enjoy a local river walk. Use the footpath on the other side of the hedge to the lodge, go under the railway bridge until you get to a mill with very tall trees, walk along the footpath directly under the tall trees, once over the little footbridge you can take the left fork to go into Charfield Village, or the right fork for the river walk and onwards to Tortworth.There is also a very nice little woodland and nature reserve bordering our field, to get to this go left out of the lodge until you get to a very steep hill. Half way down the steep hill there is a gateway with Charfield Meadow labelled.If you have any problems during your stay, we live in the yellow house next door, so please feel free to give me a call.

We've had an amazing time at the cottage. We felt right at home, and were sad to leave. The surrounding are beautiful, and there is enough to see and do close by. Sarah was really friendly and helpful. Hopefully we will be back one day!
