Pick up a small aperitif and step aboard a river cruise (season permitting) before catching a matinee at the Roses Theatre. If historic splendour is on the agenda, Tewkesbury is home to a 12th-century abbey, adorned with one of the highest Norman towers in the country, and the largest medieval re-enactment festival in Europe in July. Just a short drive to the other side of town you will find Croft Farm, where you can spend the days on the lake, sailing, swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. On those days you want to just be at one with nature, take a trip to the nearby nature reserve, educational and fun for all the family. You will find Regency Cheltenham within 10 miles, great to visit for one of their cultural festivals or a flutter at the races. Stunning Sudeley and Eastnor castles, and Malvern are all within 15 miles. Shop 100 yards, pub 170 yards and restaurant 1 mile.

Fabulous holiday cottage, next to the River Avon lock and river Seven. Great location to watch the world go by. 5 mins walk to the centre of Tewkesbury a medieval market town, with all its shops, restaurants and historical sites. The cottage is well equiped, nicely decorated and perfect for a couple. We only had a short break, but wouldn’t hesitate to go back for a longer holiday.

Great Little studio for two. Everything you need for a self catering holiday is there. Great views, walks along the river and right next to the lock. The town is a 10 minute stroll away with most facilities required, restaurant, pubs, shops and abbey.I cant think of any negatives, we normally don't go to any place twice but this will be the exception
