Harbourside Cottage in Plymouth, Devon, is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning harbour views, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate its proximity to local attractions, shops, and restaurants, particularly the Royal William Yard. While some minor issues are noted, the overall sentiment is that the cottage provides a delightful and well-equipped stay.
Guests consistently mention the exceptional cleanliness of the cottage, describing it as 'so clean' and 'absolutely everything you could need provided for.'
The location is celebrated for its amazing harbour views and convenience to the town, shops, pubs, and ferry services, making it an ideal base for exploring.
The cottage is noted for its comfortable furnishings, including a very comfortable bed and seating in the lounge area. However, some guests mentioned creaky floorboards and stairs.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and good storage. However, the absence of a dishwasher, downstairs toilet, and appliance manuals, as well as concerns about a cat flap, slightly lower the score.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Very close to Royal William Yard where there are restaurants and bars. Also buses which take you into the city every 30 minutes.

The storage space in all bedrooms was extremely good. The bathrooms had easy to use showers. The kitchen was compact but well planned and well-stocked with crockery etc and plenty of storage space. Easy walking distance to Royal William Yard and all that was on offer there - some fantastic restaurants. There was a lack of manuals for the appliances and limited information relating to recycling and disposal of household waste. We followed the guidance for disposal of waste but our bins were not emptied by the binmen even though we put our waste in the bins on a daily basis. A dishwasher would have been an advantage. We were a little concerned about the cat flap that was positioned in the window just above the kitchen sink and the possibility of contamination issues. The stairs and bedroom floorboards were very creaky. We had disturbed sleep whenever anyone got out of bed to go to the bathroom. Despite these few issues, we would return to this property.
