With its living room on the first floor to take advantage of creek and river views, and a pretty garden from which to watch yachts dance on the tidal waters, this modern house stands in a pretty riverside village flanked by National Trust woodland. At the local inn, tasty crab sandwiches and local beer can be enjoyed. Rowing boats can be hired to explore the river banks. Sandy beach at Mothecombe (4 miles). Good coastal walking. Dartmoor within 10 miles. Plymouth, 7 miles. Shops 1½ miles.

Beautiful view from the lounge warm modern and well equiped. Comfortable bed in a good size room.Two pubs in easy walking distance limited opening hours in the winter. Twenty minute drive to Plymouth and similar distance to beaches such as Burgh Island and Salcombe. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice cottage in a wonderful location. We had a great Christmas holiday. We walked every day. The 2 pubs were nice, food best in Ship but both good. The cottage was nice and warm, great views and comfortable beds.

It was lovely. Best thing was the long window and window seat, the whole length of the lounge. We could check the tides, note when the causeway appeared so we could cross that way to the other side, check the weather - we saw rainbows most days, bird-watch and people-watch. There was nothing missing in the kitchen, loads of space for clothes in the bedrooms, suggestions for walks, games and jigsaws. And just room to park our 2 cars outside. The owner and housekeeper were both friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome and had a lovely week.
