This fabulous property in the Ocean City of Plymouth is the ideal retreat for families or groups of friends exploring the city and surrounding coastline with two dogs in two. Sleeping eight guests across four gorgeous bedrooms, this holiday home is a welcoming base to return to after a day spent in the city’s shops and attractions, or long walks on the nearby South West Coast Path.
There’s plenty of space for everyone (and the dogs) to find their own cosy corner here. Snuggle up on the sofas in the airy lounge, watching the Smart TV that sits above an ornamental fireplace, complete with contemporary furnishings in soothing neutral tones. Next is the spacious and well-equipped kitchen/diner which offers a breakfast bar for morning cuppas, and a dining table for all to gather around and enjoy memorable meals. At the end of the evening, head upstairs to find four light and stylish bedrooms with costal decor and comfy furnishings. Here, guests can choose from a king-size zip-and-link room (converted into twin beds on request), or three double bedrooms each with their own character and charm. Completing this floor is a modern shower room so all guests can stay relaxed and refreshed. Finally, be sure to make use of the wonderful patio space with its table and chairs, the perfect spot for al fresco meals in the sun.
Head off for a day of shopping at Drake Circus (1.5 miles) where you’ll find popular shops and restaurants. The children might prefer a trip to the National Marine Aquarium (2 miles), or if they’re keen swimmers, visit the Grade II-listed Tinside Lido (2 miles). Enjoy fantastic views from the top of Crownhill Fort (3 miles), or head down to Bovisand Beach (7 miles) for sunbathing and sandcastles. For panoramic views of the ocean and neighbouring Cornwall, head to Hoe Park (1.5 miles) where you can spot the city’s famous lighthouse, and sit in the exact spot where The Beatles once stopped to enjoy this charming park.
