Resting on a stretch of coastline boasting dramatic cliffs and diverse wildlife, this property is close to a beach renowned for some of the best rock pools in the country. Follow the South West Coast Path to Wembury Point (1.5 miles); dolphins, basking shark, and seals can be occasionally seen in Wembury Bay. Walk less than a mile and discover the dramatic cliffs over Connor’s Cove where the River Yealm meets the sea. You might also want to stroll over to Warren Point, where you can catch the seasonal foot ferry across the river. For culture and shopping, Plymouth is only 7 miles away, with plenty to explore including the historic Barbican and its restaurants, shops, bars, and the National Marine Aquarium. The National Trust property Saltram House is just 6 miles from your coastal getaway and Buckland Abbey is 15 miles away, both well worth a visit.
Stepping inside this stunning coastal home you will immediately find yourself in the beautifully light and spacious kitchen/diner. This is the perfect place to enjoy laid back family meals, or head outside through the French doors to dine alfresco during warm weather. The famous Eddystone Lighthouse lies approximately 10 miles offshore and it can clearly be seen from the kitchen. The kitchen itself is perfectly appointed and equipped with a great range of appliances. During the winter there is also a two-oven AGA that will be available for use. A warm and welcoming lounge boasts comfortable sofas arranged around a Smart TV and a wood burner. Here you will also find a further set of French doors. Should anyone wish for a quiet space to read, or children to play in their own space, there is also a lovely little snug/playroom located back towards the kitchen/diner with its own Smart TV. On the other side of the ground floor and separated by a split level, lies two beautiful bedrooms: a double room and a cosy bunk bedroom. Located next to these rooms is a contemporary bathroom with a handheld shower over the bath and a separate shower. The ground is also home to a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, shower and WC. Venturing up the stairs and onto the first floor, you will find the stunning master bedroom which boasts a king-size bed, fabulous sea views and an en-suite shower room. The final bedroom is a twin, which can be made into a super-king-size bed on request.
Heading outside, you’ll find a spacious decked patio offering sea views, garden furniture, charcoal BBQ and a hot tub. From here, steps lead down to a large, enclosed lawn to the front and further patio area with seating to the side. Private off-road parking for two cars is available on the driveway.
