This cottage is well equipped and quiet, in a very small hamlet but with places of interest (e.g. Wells, Glastonbury) within easy reach. We arrived on a grey rainy day and our first impression was of a very cold and dark interior. This wasn't terribly welcoming! Once we got the heater on it warmed up but, without much natural light, especially in the main living area, we found the interior too dark. We also didn't like the shower room, the floor of which remained wet long after the shower, making access to the toilet difficult without putting towels down to 'island hop' (many thanks to the owner for providing extra towels!). The wifi was unsecure and intermittent, which we weren't too concerned about but others may find this frustrating. On the plus side, the bed was big and very comfortable, and we were provided with a little jug of milk and some biscuits as well as items for using the coffee machine.

Cottage well presented. The garden was a disappointment as not fenced off from owners section and the possibility of two large dogs being around. We were so upset that the owner kindly kept the dogs away from us all week. The only other option was to let our dog out on the driveway. It could have been so much better with a private section of garden for us. Pet friendly apparently doesn’t mean secure in the details.Lovely field down the road for walk. Wells definitely worth visiting.

Lovely setting, however the garden area that can you use, for the cottage, is not contained as it bleeds into the main house garden. The drive is contained for your dog. The large field was inaccessible at our visit due to sheep and electric fence.Lots of mice running around the roof, between the tiles and felt.Internet was intermitent and the was no terrestial TV channels, everything was accesssed via the broadband and this meant not all channels could be seen.Wet room drainage took hours which meant subsequent visits to the toilet delvered wet feet.Marque the owner was very hospitable and looked to fix the internet as best as possible
