Guests that stayed at this property said

The reviews frequently mention the cleanliness of the accommodation, describing it as spotless and well-maintained. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness that guests appreciate.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to local sights such as Cheddar, Wells, and Glastonbury, as well as for being ideal for walks and offering stunning countryside views. Its rural yet accessible setting is a highlight for many guests.

Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the lodge cosy. However, a few guests mentioned the bed size and heating issues, which slightly lowers the score.

Facilities like the hot tub, small kitchen, and digital TV are well-received. Some guests noted limitations such as wardrobe space and heating efficiency, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.

It had everything we needed and was in a great location. There were stunning views from both the pod and hot tub and horses, chickens and rabbits in the fields in front and behind to keep us entertained. There was lots to do nearby and great pubs for food, The New Inn just a short walk down the road and The Lamb Inn in Axbridge. The people were very friendly and helpful at the pod.

However, when this property was cancelled on our way there we had a look on Sykes cottages and Suffolk was the top of the list. Am I glad that it was!! On arrival driving in to the property you’re greeted by gorgeous scenery and a relaxing environment. You feel welcomed straight away. On the outside of the property is the fantastic hot tub, a fire pit and seating. There is a good size area of grass to the front, overlooking a lovely paddock filled with chicken and wild rabbits. Such a peaceful view to look out on. Inside the property you’ll find everything you need for your stay. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchenette is perfectly adequate with a kettle, toaster, microwave and two hob stove. You also have a full sized fridge. The bathroom is all you need and very clean and tidy. The hot tub was the star of our visit, with you able to go in it whenever you want. I was in by 7 most mornings and to be able to sit and relax looking at the stunning surrounding views was idyllic. There are a couple of very good pubs quite close, as well as a lovely tea room serving afternoon tea in Axbridge. The Strawberry Line walk follows the back of the property and you can use a path from the cottage to walk straight to it. Perfect for long walks. Please visit this wonderful place and you won’t be disappointed.
