Guests say

Guests are generally delighted with the lodge's space, layout, and furnishings, appreciating the scenic location with convenient walks and a pub nearby. The lodge's pet-friendly approach and indoor pool are highlights, contributing to a pleasant stay. Some minor issues with bed comfort and maintenance have been noted.

The lodge is mostly praised for its cleanliness, with guests finding it well-cleaned and stocked. However, a few minor oversights such as cobwebs and leftover items from previous guests slightly mar the overall impression.

The location is highly regarded for its pretty scenery, dog walks, and proximity to a pub. The surrounding countryside and available walks are a consistent positive note among guests.

While beds are generally found to be comfortable, there are several mentions of a creaky and even a collapsed bed, indicating that some of the sleeping arrangements may need attention.

Facilities like the indoor pool and fully equipped kitchen are appreciated, but there are comments about the need for better pool towels and maintenance issues with the bed, which suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Guests mention thoughtful touches for dogs, but as these are not consistently referenced across all reviews, it is politely noted that such amenities, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The location, the walking route, the pool and cleanliness of the lodge made the stay perfect. As an improvement point, I wanted to flag that the mattress in the main bedroom (with the en-suite) is worn our, especially on the side facing the window. Additionally it would be amazing if we were given move than a few dishwasher tablets and 1 loo role in the toilets for the entire week. Thank you for everything - we will definitely be returning!

First impression property was immaculate. Had everything we needed. Rooms.were spacious. Lovely view from the balcony outside. We took two teenagers so the private pool on site was a great . There's a pub 5 mins walk away. Lots to do in the area and shops 5 mins drive .Only criticism would be there were cobwebs In the ensuite bedroom, socks on the floor upstairs in lounge from previous holiday makers and the bedrooms were a little dark., and could do with bins in the bedrooms, this didnt bother me just making you aware, I'm.just being picky.. Thank you for a great holiday
