Guests say

Cherry Cottage is highly praised for its tranquil rural setting, immaculate presentation, and comfortable, well-equipped interiors. Guests particularly enjoy the abundance of wildlife, peaceful atmosphere, and thoughtful touches such as welcome hampers. The property is ideal for dog owners and those seeking relaxation, with many returning guests. While the remote location and bumpy access track are noted, these are outweighed by the cottage’s charm and the warm hospitality provided. The cottage’s cleanliness, comfort, and facilities consistently impress, making it a popular choice for a restful countryside escape.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as spotlessly clean, immaculate, and well maintained. Only one minor mention of some pet hairs was noted, but this did not detract from the overwhelmingly positive feedback.

The rural, peaceful location is frequently praised for its tranquillity and beautiful countryside views. Some guests mention the long, bumpy access track and the remote setting, but most consider the seclusion a positive feature.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and spacious, with special mentions of comfy beds, a large bath, and a relaxing atmosphere. The property is also noted as suitable for guests with limited mobility.

The cottage is described as very well equipped, with modern conveniences such as a dishwasher, wet room, and log burner. Minor suggestions include the addition of an oven glove and sharper kitchen knives, but overall satisfaction is very high.

Many guests mention generous welcome hampers with local produce, bird seed, and other thoughtful touches. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

Good welcome pack, milk, bread, scones, strawberry jam, clotted cream and six eggs. Dark sky at night so plenty of stargazing. Highlight Sunday roast at White Horse. The half mile access track a bit of a bind.

  • Lesley Boutell

Excellent facilities even down to a hair dryer which we didn’t expect
