The cottage was in a peaceful location at the end of a quiet lane, surrounded by trees, tucked away at the bottom of the owners garden. The cottage was comfortable with two large bedrooms in the eaves, each with a small en-suite. The downstairs was open plan with large sofas, a well equipped kitchen and a central, wooden open-slatted staircase. Loved watching the fox in the evening feasting on dog biscuits left on the wall outside. The owner was very friendly and helpful and let us take apples home from the orchard.A couple of things to mention. Take a pint of milk with you for your arrival. Although there were tea bags, coffee, loo rolls, cling film, a pint would be helpful. Having a folder with all the instruction booklets for appliances would be useful, as we struggled to work out the TV and the gas oven (being used to electric not gas). This property is ideal for dog owners but not having a dog, I was aware of the smell of wet dog on the rug and sofa.We had a good stay and probably the best nights sleep in a cottage ever as the beds were so comfortable.
