Located just outside Ilminster, at the foot of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the hut is a perfect base for walkers and nature lovers. There are numerous scenic trails right on your doorstep, including routes through Combe St Nicholas and up to Neroche Forest, where ancient hill forts and woodland paths await. For a more challenging walk, head to Staple Hill – one of the highest points in the Blackdowns – and take in sweeping views across Somerset. The area is rich with wildlife, from deer to buzzards, and offers ample opportunities for photography or peaceful contemplation.

The Coop is the most beautiful, comfortable, modern but farm house classic, Shepherds Hut. The bed is very comfortable, the cooker, water pressure, toilet, sink etc is all excellent. The Coop is set in the most beautiful, private location. It is so tranquil and exactly what we wanted for our weekend away. The hot tub was so lovely and warm and it made an excellent spot for star gazing! Nikki and Josh were excellent hosts, there if we needed anything at all but stayed away to give us our privacy. Can’t wait to go back in February!

Our stay at Coop was nothing short of amazing and incredibly tranquil. We booked it for a 40th birthday celebration, and it could not have been a more perfect weekend.From the moment we arrived, it was clear that attention to detail is a top priority here. The entire place was spotless, and so beautiful. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality absolutely nothing was too much trouble, and the personal touches made us feel so welcome and celebrated.The hot tub was a massive highlight and the perfect way to unwind. This place is a real hidden gem, the views, the peace and the donkeys were perfection and made for an amazing romantic getaway, Wewould go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommended.

We had the most perfect weekend at The Coop! It was so peaceful, we loved the hot tub and the hut had everything we needed. We also loved watching the donkeys next door :)
