About this property

Offering breathtaking countryside views over the Somerset and Devon border, with valleys, woodlands and lush pasture to explore across the surrounding 130 acres, this Scandinavian log cabin is ideal for couples eager to uncover the natural beauty of the Blackdown Hills.

Boasting magnificent views across the valley through the impressive floor-to-ceiling patio doors, the gorgeous open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a haven of serenity; the charming wood cladding creates a truly warming ambience that invites tired travellers to unwind and dine with loved ones long into the evening. Featuring crisp, white linens and wonderfully green views, the king-size bedroom guarantees a dreamy rest before beginning your next adventure feeling refreshed and invigorated in the contemporary shower room. Outside, soak up the fresh, countryside air by dining on an al fresco BBQ feast on the covered veranda as children and four-legged friends let off some steam playing on the enclosed lawn. Onsite, you''ll also find a handy shared dog shower and the opportunity to arrange a guided farm tour with the owner to meet the resident lambs when the season is right.

The Blackdown Hills, a National Landscape, is a haven for keen outdoor explorers, with a wealth of trails carving through the unspoilt landscape of rural Somerset and Devon beginning from the doorstep. The thriving market town of Tiverton (23.5 miles) offers plenty of idyllic picnic spots beside the canal whilst Taunton (8.5 miles) boasts plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. Culture vultures can explore the National Trust''s Barrington Court (14.5 miles) and Montacute House (20 miles) whilst those keen to answer the call of the sea can discover the Jurassic Coast, with the seaside towns of Seaton, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth all reached within 22.5 miles.
