Upstairs are two further bedrooms, comprising a master king-size double with rustic beamed ceilings, plus a double bedroom with similar features, both served by the contemporary bathroom with bath and shower over, so you can decide how best to prepare for the day. After a long day exploring the beautiful landscapes of the Exmoor National Park, look forward to unwinding in your own private hot tub, accompanied with a gin and tonic whilst you contemplate where to visit next. The historic market town of Wiveliscombe is only five miles away and is well stocked with independent shops, cafes and pubs serving local produce, while Taunton, roughly 15 miles away, is a delightful town to visit with a plethora of historic buildings to admire and some excellent independent shops to browse. After you’ve completed the magnificent walks of Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, plan a visit to the beach resorts on the North Somerset Coast, including Blue Anchor Bay which is less than an hour's drive from The Granary. A true home from home, this idyllic getaway promises a relaxing retreat, all year round.

This quaint town is on the edge of Exmoor in the Brendon Hills. A base for outdoor pursuits from fishing on the Clatworthy Reservoir or Wimbleball Lake, horse-riding or walking through countryside. There are shops in Wiveliscombe as well as a butcher, antique shops, a gunsmith and Court House shop. The village is half an hour from North Somerset's beaches. Fantastic hosts and the attention to detail was great. Very welcoming to small children (books, videos, smart TV for access to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc) and the hot tub was a great addition for us too. Homemade lemon drizzle cake was greatly appreciated and a lovely touch. Thank you

The most comfortable beds, a real home from home. The hot tub was superb and a lovely way to spend the afternoon after being out all day. Great location for exploring Somerset and Devon as so close to the county border…..highly recommended. The owners were so accommodating when we had car issues on our last day too, thank you.
