Set in the beautiful Exmoor National Park, Little Barn Cottage is the ideal base to explore Exmoor’s glorious moorland countryside, paddle in the clear meandering streams , and sunbathe on the wonderful sandy beaches of Devon and West Somerset. With views over the Barle valley, wild red deer grazing from the neighbouring woods and Exmoor ponies in the fields next door it is a wonderful tranquil place to relax. The coast to the north at Minehead (with a steam railway) is within a 20min drive and many wonderful long sandy beaches to be found further west at award winning Woolacombe and Saunton Sands. Only 3 miles away is the vibrant little town of Dulverton which has pubs, restaurants, tearooms, a small supermarket, delicatessen, bakery, butchers, Doctors and pharmacy. A short drive can also be taken to discover the picturesque Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Blackdown Hills and the Quantock Hills. Exmoor National Park backs onto the Somerset coastline, taking in the pretty towns of Porlock, Lynton and Lynmouth, home to popular pubs, galleries and boutiques and often referred to as “Little Switzerland”. The cottage is situated in the Dark Sky Reserve, so star gazing is a must!

You enter the cottage into the hallway with plenty of space to hang your coats and kick off your walking boots. All on one floor, the beautifully panelled kitchen/lounge/diner offers a warm and inviting place to cook and eat in the well equipped kitchen with an electric oven, hob, combination microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment and dishwasher. Then relax in front of the electric effect woodburner and enjoy the views over the valley and down to the river. So much wildlife to spot from here, especially deer, badgers, rabbits and birds a plenty. The master bedroom offers a king size bed, with Freeview TV for lazy mornings and more spectacular views over the River Barle. The spacious bathroom offers a shower over the bath and a WC. Outside you will find an unattached enclosed private garden beyond the parking area. There is also a small open patio area with garden table and chairs directly outside the property.
