Royal Oak Farm is a charming, spacious cottage in a picturesque village, ideal for family gatherings and outdoor activities. Guests appreciate the comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, and enclosed garden. The nearby pub and scenic walks add to the appeal, though some noted the property could benefit from a touch of updating and maintenance.
There are no specific comments regarding the cleanliness of the property, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful scenery, proximity to a traditional pub, and accessibility to local walks and beaches, making it perfect for exploring and relaxing.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the living spaces spacious. However, some comments about saggy sofas suggest that while the property is generally comfortable, there is room for improvement.
The property is well-equipped with a utility room, BBQ, and kitchen amenities. However, points are deducted for maintenance issues like blunt knives, a non-working light switch, and a leaking towel rail.
There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host, so this category cannot be scored.

Lovely traditional thatched cottage in picturesque village with village shop in pub next door. Spacious living spaces with large dining room plus a 2nd sitting room. Comfy beds, hot showers plus a bath, well equipped kitchen, utility room plus useful outside covered area outside back door. Excellent enclosed garden, shame it wasn't warm enough in late Oct to sit out and use the BBQ.Younsters found the swings just across the road and enjoyed playing pooh sticks over the nearby small bridges.Maybe it should be mentioned in the details that most of the bedding included feather pillows and duvets in case of allergies. Plenty of additional blankets were available for winter stays.Nearby Tarr Steps was a perfect short walk, looking lovely in autumn colours. Kids loved the beach at Minehead with the ship-themed playground good for all ages on the promenade with parking alongside.Accommodation worked well for our multigeneration group of 2 grandparents, 4 parents and 3 grandkids so pleased to recommend Royal Oak Farm.

Lovely cottage with a lot of space for a long overdue family reunion. Nice garden to run around in and a traditional pub next door. The location is pretty but also fairly remote so do all your shopping before you arrive :)
