Guests say

Bridge Cottage in Watchet is a charming and quirky retreat, ideal for singles or couples seeking a cosy stay in a picturesque location. Guests praise its central position, lovely river views, and easy access to local amenities, walks, and attractions. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable, with many returning visitors. While the stairs are steep and parking is in a nearby pay-and-display, these are minor points compared to the overall positive experience. Thoughtful touches and responsive hosts add to the appeal, making it a delightful base for exploring the area.

Multiple reviews mention the cottage being clean, comfortable, and well-presented, with some guests noting its pristine condition and good quality linen and towels. No significant negative comments about cleanliness were found.

The location is highly praised for its central position in Watchet, proximity to the harbour, shops, pubs, and attractions, as well as lovely views of the river and easy access to walks. Parking is nearby and considered good value.

Guests frequently describe the cottage as cosy and comfortable, with a relaxing atmosphere. Some mention the bed being too soft for those with back issues and note the steep stairs, but overall comfort is rated very positively.

The cottage is described as well-equipped with everything needed for self-catering, including a good kitchen, wet room, and thoughtful amenities. Suggestions for minor improvements (e.g., more tumblers, a table on the balcony) are noted but do not detract from the overall satisfaction.

Several guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as a welcome bottle of wine, milk, coffee, and Christmas decorations. While these gestures are warmly received, please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Another fab week staying in Bridge Cottage. It's a lovely, quirky cottage right in the heart of Watchet, and the only disappointment was the low high tides which meant that the river basin we can see out of the window did not fill up at high tide. Highly recommended.

Great little cottage, beautifully furnished & has everything you need for a week's stay.Has a great view over the little river & tunnel, fun when the tide comes in.Within easy walking distance of everything in Watchet. One tip - if you buy the week's pass for the car park, you can use it in many other long-stay car parks in West Cornwall which saves you from paying to park on some days out.At the time of writing, it covers:Minehead: Quay West, Warren Road Upper, Clanville, Alexandra Road and North RoadPorlock: Porlock CentralDunster: Dunster Steep and Park StreetWilliton: Williton CentralWatchet: Anchor Street, Market Street, Harbour Road, Swain Street and West PierDulverton: Exmoor House, Lion Stables and GuildhallIt does NOT coverMinehead: Station and SummerlandPorlock: Doverhay
