The Linhay is a generous and characterful barn conversion set in the peaceful village of Washford, close to the historic harbour town of Watchet and the rolling landscapes of Somerset. Designed with space and comfort firmly in mind, this inviting retreat is ideal for families or groups of friends looking to enjoy time together without feeling on top of one another. Sleeping up to nine guests, the property is arranged across two wings and offers four thoughtfully laid-out bedrooms, each with its own en-suite facilities. There’s a super-king-size bedroom with en-suite bath and shower over, a king-size bedroom with both a bath and separate shower, a twin room with en-suite shower, and a flexible family room with a double and single bed, also with an en-suite shower.

A ground-floor WC adds extra convenience for busy mornings. At the heart of The Linhay sits a well-equipped kitchen, complemented by a handy utility room, while the dining room comfortably seats eight for relaxed meals and long, chatty evenings. The sitting room is a real highlight, complete with a woodburning stove and patio doors that open out onto the decking, making it a welcoming space year-round. For a bit of friendly competition, the games room features a pool table. Washford is a Somerset village between Minehead and Bridgwater, two miles from the port of Watchet. There are many villages to explore including Porlock, Dunster and the busy resort of Minehead.

    Inside is spacious and comfortable, the outside areas had pots of geraniums and hydrangeas providing colour. The outdoor raised seating area with heavy glass gate and 'fence' was just right for drinks and snacks while the huge dining table was enjoyed for breakfast and lunch even in October. So much more but suffice it to say thank you for everything.

    Spacious, well appointed and the best equipped kitchen I have experienced in a rental property. The hot tub, sauna, games room and outdoor furniture and games were all used and appreciated. Communication with the host was friendly and efficient. Would certainly return to and would not hesitate to recommend.
