Further afield is the historic market town of Thornbury (3 miles), which has an imposing Tudor castle and an eclectic mix of shops and eateries. Take the kids for a fun day out at West Country Water Park (6.5 miles) where you can paddleboard, go wild swimming, and play around on the aqua park. Close to the Historical city of Bath (20 miles) and within easy reach of Cheltenham festival and Badminton Horse Trials.
