Guests have consistently praised the cottage for its cleanliness, comfort, and ideal location for exploring Brixham and surrounding areas. The property is described as cosy, well-equipped, and dog-friendly, with a warm welcome and thoughtful provisions on arrival. Despite an isolated issue with key codes and some discomfort from residents regarding dogs, the overall experience remains highly recommended.
Reviewers consistently mention the cottage being very clean, which indicates high standards of cleanliness.
The location is frequently praised for its convenience to Brixham and other attractions, suggesting a very good location score.
Comfort is highlighted with mentions of comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere, justifying a high comfort score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with positive comments on showers and equipment, but the key code issue suggests a slight deduction for maintenance.
While the reviews indicate a warm welcome and provisions on arrival, there is no explicit mention of gifts, so it is not possible to score thoughtfulness accurately.

Brixham is a working fishing port on the southern side of Torbay, in the area known as The English Riviera, which is famous for its sunny mild climate all year. The focal point of the harbour is a life-size replica of Sir Francis Drake's ship, The Golden Hind. Brixham's most picturesque area features small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour, where all the action takes place. Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK and is home to Britain's largest fishing fleet, which regularly lands their catch in the harbour.

Just a bit more information on how to turn heating down or off, just too warm for us. Lol But a fantastic place to stay with best of both worlds with country side & beaches nearby. Shared courtyard/ garden a bit of a pain not being able to let the dog off lead.

The cottage itself is very warm and comfortable with everything needed to feel at home. One of the reasons we chose this cottage is because it is dog friendly. The cottage is set in a courtyard with several other properties - some residential - and unfortunately some of the residents seem to have a dislike of dogs being there, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable even with our Labrador on the lead. For this reason alone we would not return to this cottage which is a shame as it has everything needed for a lovely holiday.

Would highly recommend.
