About this property

Nestled into a row of terraced cottages in Brixham, 10 Burton Road is a delightful base for a family or group of friends looking to explore the coast and countryside of Devon. Enter into a charming living/dining room, where a feature stone double fireplace adds character and charm, framing a TV ideal for a movie marathon and housing a woodburning stove to warm your feet beside in the cooler months. Here guests can also enjoy a heart-warming meal or a family games night. The kitchen is a light and airy space benefitting from skylights and with ample amenities, so guests can cook together using the amenities provided.

Three delightful bedrooms can be found throughout this property, including a double with storage, a twin zip/link room with Winnie the Pooh mural, ideal for children, and an attic double bedroom, all serviced by a contemporary bathroom. Outside, indulge in a dip in the hot tub or put your culinary skills to the test with the barbecue. Brixham is a lovely seaside town with a great selection of amenities and attractions, beginning with a handful of pubs, shops, tasty eateries and convenience stores where you can stock up on essentials. Walk along the coast at Brixham Breakwater, explore local history and heritage in Brixham Heritage Museum, or head over to St Mary’s Bay for a day spent at the seaside.

From here, there are many coastal walks along the scenic headlands of Devon, passing Berry Head National Nature Reserve, the impressive Broadsands Beach and beyond. Paignton offers more amenities, as well as a zoo and watersports opportunities, and from here you can visit the historic sites of Berry Pomeroy Castle and Compton Castle. Further from the property lies the incredible Dartmoor National Park, threaded with delightful tracks ideal for walking, cycling and birdwatching. All of this and so much more with a stay at the delightful 10 Burton Street.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.
